Student Meals

To best protect the health of students, families, and staff members through required social distancing and to comply with the Governor’s prohibition on gatherings of more than 10 people, Fayetteville Public Schools will offer a one-trip 10 meal pick up procedure for student meal service.

Ten (10) meals (5 breakfasts, 5 lunches) will be available each week per child 18 years of age and younger on Tuesday of each week while schools are closed. The USDA requires the child to be present to receive the meals. Meals are pre-packaged to last up to five days and should be consumed within 5 days. Meals will be loaded into the trunk of each car by FPS personnel to ensure everyone's safety. Families should remain in their vehicles during meal pick up.

The FPS Outback will be open each Wednesday to serve families who need additional assistance with food, and local partner agencies will be available the remaining weekdays to aid with food and other needs.

The FPS Outback food pantry is open DAILY this week from 11:00a-1:00p to provide groceries to families. We normally provide non-perishable food items and frozen meat, but due to recent donations, we are now able to add fresh fruit, lettuce, bread, and eggs to the food boxes. Due to the unique circumstances we are facing and Spring Break approaching, we want to make sure our families in need are prepared for the week ahead.  Friday, we plan to provide a double box as we head into Spring Break (and since the district won't be giving out food next week.)  The Outback is accessible to families by two different public transit bus routes and is located at:  2350 Old Farmington Rd; Fayetteville on the ALLPS campus.  Please monitor and the Fayetteville Public Schools Outback Facebook page for community resources and information.

Senior Communication

Dear ALLPS Families,

In light of Governor Hutchinson’s recent decision regarding the school year, I am writing to let you know about some important information as it pertains to senior students and the Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) work that has been assigned to them. Additionally, I wanted to let you know about some special things we have planned to honor our seniors since we won’t have our traditional end of the year celebrations. While we are all experiencing a new normal when it comes to educating our students, we feel as if the plan that has been established is going to provide flexibility and equity for all of our seniors.

ALLPS reported grades on 3/13/2020 in the form of a final semester grade.  Some seniors may need additional credits or may choose to improve their grade point average (GPA).

Graduated students

  • Parents of Senior students will be personally notified by their assigned ALLPS advisor beginning this week as to whether or not they have completed the requirements to graduate.

  • Graduated students will have the opportunity to continue working to improve grade point average if they so choose until the end of the school year.

Non-Graduated students

  • Students who are missing credits will need to continue working to recover all required credits to graduate

PLEASE NOTE: If your child is currently taking a concurrent college course or BYU course, they are REQUIRED to complete the course in its entirety.  Additionally, seniors enrolled in AP courses will be expected to take their online AP exams and remain in courses.  If there are extenuating circumstances that prevent the student from taking the exam, the student should contact Mr. Michael Kaminski (, ALLPS Asst. Principal or visit

For more information regarding ALLPS grading practices during the COVID-19 pandemic, please visit the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document HERE.

Many students have textbooks or other school property that needs to be collected and they may have personal items at school that need to be retrieved. Additionally, seniors will have the opportunity to purchase their school-issued Chromebook at the end of the year and pick up a yearbook if they purchased one. We are currently developing a plan to do this that meets CDC guidelines and will communicate more information at a later time.

Fayetteville Public Schools want to honor our Class of 2020 seniors and provide them with the same opportunities that that other senior classes have experienced at the end of their high school careers. Keeping this in mind, we have tentatively set the following dates for events to honor our students.

PLEASE NOTE:  These dates are subject to change based on guidance from the CDC.
  • Graduation Ceremony on Harmon Field - Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 9:30 am
  • Project Graduation/Prom Mash-Up at Fayetteville High School - Thursday, July 2, 2020 (time to be communicated at a later date and is for ALLPS, FVA, and FHS SENIORS ONLY). Seniors are invited to wear their prom attire and celebrate with friends.
  • Graduation Signs - Fayetteville Public Schools has purchased yard/window signs (see below) for all 2020 graduates. When these are available, communication will be sent out on how to pick them up.

  • ALLPS Senior Celebration  - ALLPS will celebrate seniors and successes through a virtual format.  Communication will be sent at a later date. Contact the counselor, with any questions.

Thank you for your patience as we make decisions in the best interest of your child’s educational needs. We realize that the current COVID-19 pandemic is requiring all of us to make sacrifices and modifications and we appreciate your partnership with us as we navigate the waters during this unprecedented time. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s counselor, teacher, or an administrator.
